Museum

Come to see our museum of traditional Goral culture in Ždiar. The Ždiar municipality established the museum in 1971 to promote our folk culture among visitors of The High Tatras. On display are working tools, agricultural implements, local furniture, but primarily various folk costumes. A popular option is to put on Ždiar costume and take part in a "Ždiar wedding" programme (better to book in advance) or just try on some Ždiar costumes and take photos.

Photo gallery

Photo gallery is set up in the attic of the Ždiarsky dom museum by local folklorist Peter Michalák (1974-2017). It is a superb collection of local photos, which Peter collected for more than 20 years. You can see there not only historical photos, but also watch short films about Ždiar culture in the past and present.
